As we commence our courses on Monday 8 February, unfortunately there are tighter restrictions now in place as of 11.59am last night. To quote the website:
|The limit on the number of people gathering in a household will be reduced from 30 to 15, meaning the household members plus 15 visitors (excluding children under 12 months of age).
Masks will be mandatory in public indoor spaces. If you have visitors in your home, it is strongly recommended that masks are worn during the visit. Masks must be worn in indoor public spaces apart from when eating or drinking. If you are planning to leave your home – take a mask.
Hence, masks must be worn when attending classes indoors (I imagine that those members doing activities involving exercise will still have the flexibility to remove them if they need to for comfort/health reasons).
For courses held in members homes eg garden lovers, wine and cheese, beer and cider, etc) the maximum attendees is now limited to 15 not including the hosts – not 30 as previously.
It is sad that this has happened but we must follow the rules.
I trust that things will return to previous arrangements in the not too distant future.
